Preparations before Travelling

  • A few weeks before travelling ensure you are living a good Ayurvedic routine (go to bed early, eat at regular times, do not overeat, be hungry before each meal, avoid snacking, always fresh meals, light food such as soup for dinner, good sleep routine).
  • To strengthen Agni, use ginger water or just hot water.
  • Regular Abhyanga, MP16 and Gandusha.
  • Check with a Maharishi AyurVeda expert about taking Ayurvedic herbs prior to or during the course to strengthen immunity (e.g.MA 630, MA 1000, etc.).
  • Get used to walking some distance (make sure you have good shoes).
  • See your dentist.
  • Health check-up including a blood test to detect any deficiency (e.g. iron, Vit B12, Vit D, etc…)
  • Your local healthcare provider issues guidelines about recommended vaccinations.
