Bequests

If you are a US tax payer and you need detailed information about Planned Giving, along with ‘specific language’ for a bequest, please click here.

A bequest to the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation (BSF) helps ensure that future generations will continue to benefit from Maharishi’s cherished vision of Vedic Pandits blessing the world with peace and affluence. Since BSF was established, many generous, kind and peace loving donors have made bequests to support the Maharishi Vedic Pandits.

A bequest may be a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or your will may be drafted to leave the remainder of the estate after other bequests to BSF. In every case, if you would like to make a bequest, you should make use of a lawyer when writing your will or adding a codicil (an addendum to a will).

You have the option to direct your bequest:

  • to the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation’s general fund to be used for immediate expenses;
  • to the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation endowment which by its charter is permanent, the principal can never be spent;
  • for a specific need, like a building for the Vedic Pandits at the Brahmasthan of India.
  • Please see our detailed Bequest FAQ for International donors for more information on Bequests.
