Three buildings are currently being completed for the International Course Campus that can provide guests from around the world with the same deep experience of the Land of the Veda—Ved Bhumi Bharat—that we are enjoying at the Raja Campus.

The courses will be open to ladies, men and couples.

Here personal suites will feature the highest quality comfort for those coming on advanced courses to accelerate the development of higher states of consciousness and understanding of Maharishi’s Vedic Science. Guests will enjoy daily recitation by Maharishi Vedic Pandits as well as extended practice of TM, Yogic Flying and special knowledge courses.

The International Course Campus will be finished by the end of Summer. We will begin welcoming all our dear family around the world starting on October 2. The courses will continue each year from early Fall through March.

For more information on the courses at the Brahmasthan go to: MaharishiIndiaCourses.com

As Maharishi had planned, the balance of the buildings that are less complete are also targeted for international course housing as funds are available.

On this page: Work in progress—a typical suite will have a large window from the sitting area and behind, a bedroom with ensuite bath. Connecting the suites is a long richly decorated veranda from which guests will have a sweeping view of the countryside.

The first is a mandap (above) where the Vedic Pandits will do recitation each day. It is located just north of the entrance gate in the shade of a huge banyan tree. The roof trusses are just being installed and we hope it will be completed by January.

When it is ready, the mandap will accommodate a team of five Vedic Pandits as well as the Rajas and Ministers who would like to attend.

A second project is a large administrative building (below) with kitchen, storerooms, laundry and offices for the top campus staff coordinators. It will also contain a dining hall and meeting room for the campus residents. This will free up House Six for additional guests to enjoy one or more months here at the Brahmasthan. Like the mandap, it is in the shade of many large banyan and mango trees.

The beautiful white marble has been delivered and ready to be installed in both buildings.

We have been attending the afternoon session of the Rudrabhishek each day and it continues to be more and more profound each time. In the past, I really had not taken advantage of the opportunity to connect to the daily broadcasts via the internet on www.MaharishiChannel.in #2. It is really a great boon for the development of consciousness that Maharishi has given to us right in our own homes.

After the recitation today, Ann was reflecting that the Maharishi Vedic Pandits are quite different in many ways—even on the surface—from the other Pandits one may meet in India.

For instance, Maharishi’s Pandits all look very healthy, radiant, vital. Also, they are very poised, graceful, natural and relaxed. There is no roughness or sense of strain in any way.

Maharishi’s Vedic Pandits have a great dignity both during and after their recitation but they also glow with a bliss. Often a big smile bursts forth when they are interacting with each other. One sees they are very close together, very loving with each other, even with the great diversity of their individual personalities and their home states.

Finally they are extremely focused but in a soft and subtle way. By this I mean they are very, very alert but self-sufficient, not distracted in their minds. It is really such a privilege to be in their enlightened presence—they are truly humble yet filled with a supreme level of life that naturally radiates into their environment.

I feel they are really genuinely fulfilled here in a way that no other path of life or relative position or opportunity could ever offer them.

Yesterday, we accompanied Raja Harris as he checked on the status of the housing for some special guests who will arrive this afternoon here at the Banhara Campus for Rajas and Ministers. This is the campus that Maharishi envisioned for the Rajas, where they would spend some time each year administering their domains. In the last two years, through the Rajas’ own support, this campus has been well advanced. It was very impressive to see the great care and attention Raja Harris’s and Girish Ji’s housing staff have for every little detail.

We have found the same is true of the main Maharishi Vedic Pandit campus at Karaundi. Everything is maintained at a top level; every one is happily on the job; things that break quickly get repaired and in general everything looks better and better. This is no small feat in a rural location where power goes on and off.

Each of the Raja's has been supporting the creation of this campus of Raja Homes. As Maharishi had envisioned, the Raja's have begun to spend some time administering their domains from here.

Dr. Girish Varma and Raja Harris have really created something very special here—from the ground up including much of the infrastructure. Roads, power (often solar), cell phone service, internet have all been put in. We have state-of-the-art water purification and the purest food preparation.

The construction of the houses is also remarkable. The combination of natural materials (a lot of local white marble), the spacious layout of the rooms with high ceilings and lots of sunshine; beautiful fixtures; and the fortune-creating design according to the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda makes one really not want to think of any other place to live.

However, it is one thing to have a grand vision and another to execute it without flaw. Building any structure is an all-possibilities affair—look at any five-star hotel in Delhi or Mumbai, or your own home if you have built one. It is very fulfilling to see the high standards that have been achieved both in construction and on-going upkeep and administration.

I am posting some photos to give you an idea. Note that interior roads will be installed as soon as the dining hall complex is completed.

Special Thanks to:
1. Raja Michael for choosing this site with so many beautiful trees
2. Raja John Konhaus for proposing the bouganvilla which will quickly cover the compound walls
3. Dr. Peter Swan for the model organic garden that is being implemented with help from Susel and Raja John Fagan

Yesterday, we enjoyed recitation by a group of young Pandits and were impressed by their great ability and command of the verses that they had learned. These young men are part of the thousands of Maharishi Vedic Pandits who have been trained under Maharishi’s guidance. India, Land of the Veda, has always been blessed with the eternal tradition of Vedic Families who have kept the knowledge of Vedic recitation down through time.

Maharishi has established schools throughout India to train his Pandits to not only be expert in Yagya—the traditional Vedic recitation and procedures to enliven Natural Law—but also in Yoga—experience of Pure Consciousness gained through practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques including Yogic Flying which promote great coherence in collective consciousness when done in large groups.

These two Vedic Technologies—Yoga and Yagya—now being used in their purity and effectiveness are the keys to how the Maharishi Vedic Pandits in each generation will create peace for our whole world family.

The last time I was here was in 2006 for the Parliament of World Peace. It is a delight to see how finished and orderly everything is now with the buildings and grounds beautifully maintained—a fitting home for Maharishi’s Vedic Pandits to create world peace for all time to come.

Entering into the hall, we were struck by the beautiful golden stage designed by Arlene and the campus administrators to properly present Maharishi’s Vedic Pandits in the greatest of dignity to our world family.

Most importantly—when we closed our eyes during the Vedic recitation, our awareness was filled with the reverberations of Higher Intelligence so very lively in this sattvic atmosphere.

Contributing is the basis for receiving; this is nature’s law at work. When the goal of your activities is focused towards creating good fortune then you bless the lives of everybody around you. Naturally, some activities pay higher cosmic dividends than others: the project in India is the ultimate pinnacle of creating good fortune for mankind.

In a world where money is so easy to spend on things with shallow or limited value, I can think of no other investment which delivers the fortunes I’ve personally enjoyed as those from supporting “The Fund for Eternity”—The Brahmananda Saraswati fund. This is the ultimate program for achieving the full cosmic potential of mankind. What value do you put on that? – Australia

This support of my support flows also to the people I cherish and like that we are more and more a small, blissful river contributing to help the bliss all around us to grow.

Dear Friends,

As mentioned in the last newsletter, we recently had the joy of hosting Dr. Paul and Marion Gelderloos at the Brahmasthan of India. The Gelderloos family has been generously funding the completion of some of the partly finished Pandit residences here as well as some of the needed landscaping. They came to get a first-hand look at how the Brahmasthan is progressing, with an eye to reviewing what yet remains to be done to fulfill the enormous promise of this project: that from this one place on earth peace and prosperity can be created and maintained for the entire world. I hope you will enjoy Paul’s inspiring thoughts and impressions, just as I did spending time with Marion and him.

Jai Guru Dev

Raja Harris and Arlene Kaplan

————————————————————————–

As supporters, Marion and I, have of course very diligently followed all the information, presentations and slideshows about this enormous undertaking in the center of India. We also have learned a lot from our conversations with Girish Varma Ji and Raja Harris. Yet, our concept of the size and grandeur of the project was maybe 10% of what we saw there in reality.

Just arriving at the first campus, Karaundi, where Pandits are living and being trained and all the administrative buildings are, gave the impression of a small town in itself. Absolutely gorgeously nested within three small hill ranges, it had a heavenly feeling to it — so quiet and yet so lively. We actually thought this was it! Although Raja Harris kept on emphasizing there was much more, this campus itself already fulfilled our expectations.

The two other campuses, Bijauri and Akona, which we saw later literally took our breath away. They were just absolutely huge. The first campus, Kauraundi, is built really right around the center point, the Brahmasthan of India, the spot located by GPS technology, just a few hundred meters from the spot marked some decades ago by the government of India. The other campuses, Akona and Bijauri, flank this main campus and are about 10 – 16 kilometers further in different directions.

Walking around the Brahmasthan, Marion and I had two sentiments. The first was that one almost could see thousands of pandits walking around, and sitting in their mandaps doing their chanting, performing their Yagya’s. The whole set-up was so tangible and so overwhelming – one could see everything was there, designed by Maharishi to the smallest detail. The second sentiment was an inner smile with the observation that the building of the complex had started in such a way, that there is no way back. Normally one would build such a complex one campus after the next, building for building. But Maharishi had instructed Girish to start constructing at all 200 buildings or so at the same time! With three shifts of several dozen building companies working day and night! All these buildings are finished up to 40% or even 95%. There is just no way to scale it back – we only can finish it.

Finishing it will take some time and effort, and funding, but it felt to me just irreversible. There is no choice to build for 2,000 or 3,000. We only can build there for 8,000. And actually quite easily for 16,000.

Finally, we were very much impressed by the quality of people there. Everybody, the Pandits, the management, the staff, are all very capable people. Raja Harris is very much appreciated and honored there, as is of course Girish Varma Ji, who so diligently is working on this project and those related to it.

Because, not only the Brahmastan needs to be finished to have 8,000 pandits there, Maharishi has designed a nationwide Pandit educational system, starting in the little villages, where very young Pandits are trained in the first steps of their profession. At this young age, they are still living at home with their parents. Once they are older, they go the regional Maharishi ashrams. And only when they graduate from there, and if they among the very best students, they can go to the Brahmastan to do Yagyas. In this undertaking we are not talking about 8,000 Pandits. This plan requires training hundreds of thousands of Maharishi Pandits throughout India.

Marion and I just completely, totally loved it. This is an absolutely masterly project, that by itself alone, could permanently change the destiny of the all mankind for all generations to come.

With sincere regards,

Paul Gelderloos
